Motherboard is hot

The thermal sensor on the MB is showing a 10c increase even though I
have opened the case since this was shown in the display of the temps
What do I do next?
What is my next step in this matter?

Opening the case is not a fix-all. Sometimes when the case is opened
the air flow from the fan(s) is no longer forced over the uP.

In some cases an open case could make it worse.

PUT THE ****ING LID BACK ON.

Half decent cases are designed with airflow in mind. You've just
completely negated it by removing the lid.
