Most used documents.

Anyone know a reason why I on occasion lose my list of recently used files
in EXCEL.
No recent changes made to press--not just compacted. Just used yesterday and
no list when opening today but it is listing those now used.
Asking here as MOST USED DOCUMENTS are common throughout MS programs under
FILE dropdown and they remained in Wopd.

Have you checked in Excel, tools, options, general tab that 'recently used
file list' is checked and the number of files to show is what you want
(default is 4). If it is unchecked, check it, click OK.

If it is checked and the problem persists, try resetting it by unchecking
it, click OK, then go back and recheck it,click OK. (sometimes such settings
get mixed up in the registry and restting them works).

It again is displaying 9 files as I had it set so whatever happened it
wasn't that. I looked anyway "OK' Thanks anyway
