Hi, I tried To display the My Recent Documents folder on the Start menu:by
using the following directions
Right-click Start, and then click Properties. Or, if the Start menu is
already displayed, right-click an empty area of the Start menu, and then
click Properties.
Click Customize.
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Recent documents, click to select the List my most recently opened
documents check box, click OK, and then click OK. The next time you click
Start, the My Recent Documents command is displayed on the Start menu

Yes the My Recent Documents is displayed but unfortunately for me the above
directions will not restore this function it has in the past but not now.
No recent documents are listed. I have tried the above directions at least
50 times computer was turned off turned on click to select the List my most
recently opened documents check box checked unchecked on off over and over
the folder is always is empty and no programs that are recently used are
present

I think I need to fix it in the registry your suggestions and help is
appreciated

I have a simular problem. Recent Documents doesn't appear on the Advance Tab.
It does if I log into my guest account, but not mine. Suspect something in
the Registry is out of wack. Help would be appreciated.
