Most Recently Used File List Greyed Out--Help!

After using a registry optimizer, my MRU list is missing and the option in
Options | General | Recently Used Files List is grayed out. I've checked out
KB 313454, but there are no keys under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Open Find.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get my MRU list back?

Thanks for the reference. Unfortunately, the value of NoRecentDocsHistory
under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
is set to decimal 1 already, and I still don't show the MRU list. (Also,
TweakUI doesn't appear on Control Panel; it's a separate application for
me.)

Any other thoughts?

Never mind. It would help if I actually read the article.

Setting
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
to 1 *disables* MRU; setting it to 0 *enables* it.

1 = on, 0 = off, and what you're controlling is NoRecentDocsHistory (note
the "No"). Double negatives always cause problems. <g>
