more space needed on C

In Win XP extra space could be freed up on C by moving my docs to another
drive or partition. Can anything of a similar sort be done safely in Vista
and if so which folders are the best candidates for this?

You can move all your user shell folders (the ones with the turquoise icons)
within your Users folder. Right click and go to Properties. While I was
using Vista, I found it necessary to make hidden junction points and
symbolic links in the old locations, pointing to the new locations, but I
cannot remember why. My setup was pretty complex though, with some network
destinations.

Open up your userprofile folder in Explorer. Right-click on the Documents
folder > Properties > Location tab. Similarly, you can move other personal
folders to a different location as well. Like in XP, the folders will appear
in your user profile and start menu like they did before you changed
location.
