I am running a w2k pro machine and installed the subject update.
Although I did not receive any error messages or blue screens as noted
in other posts, my machine would take forever to boot to windows and
then reboot itself continuously.

This is the same behavior I experienced with the KB835732 update a
while back.

In both cases I was able to boot to safe mode (after a very lengthy
boot) and uninstall the updates. Note that the I don't seem to be
running the Intel drivers that have been identified at fault in
previous posts.

I am wondering what the common thread between the updates is that
causes my problem.

We have been having the same issues at my company with the HP Omnibook XE3
(340 of them)with both patches. We also do not have any of the Intel drivers
or Nortel VPN, or Ispec policy agent service on.
