More info post

Earlier post with additional info to help diagnose problem.

Running XP pro, 2.2G, 512DDR, 60hd etc.

My microsoft media player 9 won't run some mp2 movie files I have on hd. I
get a kick-out pop-up mentioning a dll file. Clicking ok dumps the entire
program back to the desktop.

The files are ok because I have an ATI video card with video capacities that
run the files just fine.

Thinking something was missing, I downloaded from M$ source, media player 9,
and let it self install. Same problem. Did it again to be sure and still
won't work. Suggestions?

Error lists as problem..............

AppName wmplayer.exe version 9.0.0.2980

Modname dscinemvideodecoder.dll

Greetings --

While providing more information is a good idea, you've failed to
remain in the same discussion or refer in any way to the problem.
What you've done is started a new thread that provides information,
but no context or problem. No one can help you like this.

I have no idea what you are talking about but I entered a question over 640
posts ago that wasn't answered so I assumed it was dead, as in kaput.

I re-asked the question again providing more info thinking that was why no
one could answer it. #$%^& XP.

It seems that you do not have the solution either so you chastise me for
asking again?

"but no context or problem","or refer in any way to the problem."?? Maybe
your post was abbreviated, I spelled out exactly what it was doing, i.e. a
bug that MS asks to be reported in their fatal error pop up.
