Hi, I have a crappy monitor that has a big black strip in
the screen, I want to throw it out, lol, thing is, I have
another monitor, but when I went to plug it in, it had a
different connection to plug it into the computer...
Can I swap the connection cords on the monitors over or
anything..

Old monitor--- standard 3 row 12 pin connector..

New montitor--- 2 row 9 pin connector...

Thanks.. :)

9 pin? That is a serial connection. Is it possible that
it might be a new style connector like DVI?

The only way to be sure is to read the manual for that monitor or contact
the manufacturer.

When in doubt, look at the instructions. If you do not have the
instructions, a web search should find 'em. If the Monitors aren't too old.
