Just install a high speed usb card and every thing was working fine last
night. . .today the monitor does not turn on automatically when i boot the
computer. . have to turn it on manually. . .not a big deal but am curious as
to what caused the problem. . . also have a port usb hub plugged into the
hi-speed usb card but when i plug the jumpdrive into it, i still get the
message "high speed device plugged into a non hi-speed usb hub". . .. i also
have a lexar external hard drive which i plug directly into the hi-speed
card and do not get that message. . .any help understanding these things
will be greatly appreciated. .. thanks
Ron

Im not sure about the monitor problem as Ive never had my monitor
automatically turn itself on. It will go into sleep mode when i turn off
computer but that still wastes power when I leave it on.

In terms of your USB problem a guess I would say that you USB hub is not
high speed (it is not if it says USB1 or 1.1 but does not mention USB2). Or
it could be a problem to do with the fact that the hub must put a number of
devices into the one USB port. Think 4 lanes of traffic being bottled into
one lane. No matter how fast you make the speed limit it will still get
pretty slow. Id reccomend putting your drive onto one USB port and the Hub
onto another, assuming you have 2 USB ports.
