Monitor turns black

From time to time my monitor turns black with message that it is working
correctly and to check monitor cable. The PC does not switch off and keeps on
working. i am also getting error "The Routing and Remote Access service
depends on the NetBIOSGroup group and no member of this group started.", i do
not know if this is related.

The first suspect is the cable from the card to the monitor. Did you try
another? What else have you tried?

This a hardware issue, not a Windows one. One of the three things is
wrong:

1. The monitor
2. The Video Card
3. The cable connecting the two.

The third is the most likely culprit (as the message tells you). Make
sure the connection to the computer is tight.

i am also getting error "The Routing and Remote Access service

No.

Check the cables from and to the monitor, also you may having a bad Video
Card, but see if the monitor is faulty before going to a Video card by
connecting another monitor.

= For the other error open a run command and type in:
services.msc click [OK] and make sure these services started :
RSPC
TCP//IP NetBIOS Helper

I checked the services and the TCP//IP NetBIOS Helper is started, however I
do not see RSPC unless it is an acronym for something else.
I do not want to argue with all of you but the time of the event is the same
time this is happening.

Hi,
Sorry, the acronym is wrong, mistypo it should be:
RPCS for (Remote Procedure Call Service) or Plain RPC!.

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms794559.aspx
Do you have Zone Alarm Firewall installed?.

Have a look in the event viewer for error messages and post themm back.
Open a Notepad, customize or minimize to the taskbar as you will need it
later for this step to copy the error message on it.
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK] you will get the Event viewer control Panel.
click on each of these:
Application
System
Security
Look in the right Pane/window for error message with red (X) or Yellow
exclamation mark /!\ , double click each one to get more info about the
causer.
On the Event error properties message you will see:
Up Arrow
Down arrow
Two pages
Click on the two pages to copy the error message then bring up the Notepad
you opened earlier and right click on the first line and select Paste from
the list, this will paste the error message on a Notepad.
Please don't duplicate the error message one of each kind will be sufficient.

Please we need just the error messages with Red (X) and don't repeat the
error, just one of each kind and post them back in your next post.

For the Routing and Remote Access error, unless you are allowing other
computers to dial in and access a LAN/VPN via your pc, or unless you are
using your pc as a network router, you should simply disable this
service. With SP2 this service is disabled by default, there is no need
for it and it only opens up additional security holes on your pc.

Thanks a lot.
This is the error in the "system" event manager. I do not have zone alarm. I
