Hello:
I have a LG 773E monitor installed properly and a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX440 with AGP8X graphic card. My monitor suddenly went darker than normal so that it is really hard to see pictures or watch movies properly. Even that brightness on the monitor options is set to 100%. It happened twice. At the first time I gave monitor to the store. They said that it was connected to a different hard drive and worked properly. They gave me the monitor back without making any changes to it. Monitor worked fine for about 2 months and couple days ago the same thing happened. The store says they don't have any idea what is going on. Other monitors connected to my computer works fine. So probably the graphic card is ok.
If something similar happened to you or you know how to solve my problem PLEASE let me know.
Sending greetings from Crakow - Poland.

Let me answer you as succinctly as possibly using your own words:

"Other monitors connected to my computer works fine."

Yep - bad monitor/bad cable/bad something to do with the monitor/power to
the monitor/cable to the computer from the monitor. Take it back to the
shop with the PC and say "fix it, it is under warranty and works fine when I
connect other monitors to it".. Or if not under warranty and other monitors
work fine - you have your answer... get another monitor. heh
