monitor shuts down at startup

Every morning, when starting my computer - I get the windows 2000
splash screen and then my monitor shuts down. I have replaced the
monitor and video card. I had this problem intermittently and could
deal with it. In the mean time, I replaced my drive for a larger one
and reinstalled the OS.

The problem occurs daily now. And only at the first boot., If I do a
hard reboot it starts just fine. I can shutdown 20 times and not
duplicate the problem which make troubleshooting this problem time
consuming.

Any ideas are appreciated...

I bet it could be a power supply unit problem, because it just happens when
you make a could boot. then it seems you work "fine". in my experience PSU

in two years. Now the one I have still work for three years flawlesly.

How on is your PSU?
