monitor shaky on new installed windows xp

I just intalled Windows XP Pro on the second partition of my hard drive,
every thing is fine except monitor screen is shaky, i can see many lines and
when I scroll down the page, it scrolls like a wave. very hard on the eyes.
but when resolution is set to 800x600, it looks fine. I don't have this
problem with the other XP on same computer. what's the problem. please help.

Perhaps you need XP Pro drivers for your video card?

Hi,

right click on desktop and click Properties > click on Settings tab and then
click Advanced > in a new windows that opens select Monitor tab and change
"Screen refresh rate:" from 60 (default) to something higher that your
monitor will support (e.g. 75, 85, ...)

If you can't do this, then you have to first install video drivers for your
graphic card. You should be able to download them from your manufactures web
site. I guess you can check what graphic card you have on the other Windows
XP installation that you have on your PC.

Increase the refresh rate..

Don't know how? Ask the built in Windows XP Help and Support.
Search for the phrase above then select the "Change your screen resolution"
link.
