Monitor Quality

I have a Hansol 720E monitor that at best is not very sharp and clear.The
monitor and system is two yrs old. However when the Computer is put in
standby moad on returning to" wake up" the picture is much brighter and
clearer. Any help or ideas please.

Perhaps you have the brightness turned up too high, and until it reaches
peak brightness it looks ok?
