monitor no longer turns off

For some reason my monitor (Acer 77e) no longer powers
off based on my power options settings, instead it starts
to turn off then comes back on with a "no signal"
display .. I have tried everything, it had default
monitor as the driver, tried an old acre 77e driver, and
now have driveras plug & play monitor. Once in a awhile
it actually turns off, but most times it sits tehre
displaying "no signal". Any ideas out there ?

How about your display card?
You may try your monitor on the other display to see if it is good.
If on anothher computer, your monitor works fine, you may then put your
display card on another computer to see if it is bad.
If they are not bad, try to reinstall freshly your system.
If you can not do it yourself, find a person t help you.
