Hi.

I just formatted my computer; re-installed windows; it loaded up fine then I
reset it (I didn't install any programs or anything at all) and the windows
XP logo loads up then after that a monitor turns orange and I have to reset.

I can only load the computer up in safe mode or VGA mode (which is what I am
in now).

Does anyone know why I can't load up windows the normal way?

Thanks

On my LCD monitor the power indicating light turns from green {ON} to orange
{standby} either due to a lack of signal from the computer or a setting in
Control Panel, Power Options Power Schemes.

If you mean your display turns orange, then I would suspect a loose cable,
bent pin or graphics card.

Boot into VGA Mode and then set the display (resolution, refresh
rate, and/or number of colors) to something that your monitor can
handle. Consult both the video card's and the monitor's manuals for
details.
