monitor goes to sleep

i have win xp.it loads up fine.
the problem is whatever i click on,the monitor goes to
sleep.

It sounds like you may have a hardware issue. Since you don't provide
any system specs, it's impossible to guess at the solution. Either post
back with details about your computer, monitor, if this ever worked,
what changed, etc. or take the box to a good local computer shop (not a
BestBuy or CompUSA type of store).
