Hello all, here's my problem, while booting up XP on one
of my pc the monitor goes off with a brief display
"Input out of range - power management"countdown 45-0
and then goes off. Monitor cord and connections seem ok
could it be the graphic adapter card? Or what else?

Any help appreciated!

Is there more than one video card on this machine? Like one on the
motherboard too? It looks like Windows is switching to another video
card to me. If this isn't it, it could be either the monitor or the
video card. Or Windows is set at the wrong resolution for either the
card or the monitor. Safe Mode could fix that problem.

No, there's only one card, I'll give this "safe mode" startup a try and see
what happens.

Thanks!
