Monitor Drivers

I have seen a similiar problem listed here, but not seen the solution.
I need to install new drivers for a new monitor. There is no monitor even
listed in the Device Manager. In the Display>Settings>Monitor>Properties, the
properties box is greyed out. The monitor is listed as default monitor.

Usually - for monitors (unless it is widescreen or something) is just fine
with "Default" or "Plug n Play".
