Monitor Driver upgrade

I have purchase a LCD HDTV Monitor which can also be used
as a PC Monitor. The HDTV Monitor resolution, for maximum
performance, is 1024 X 720. I have Windows 2000, but
cannot configure for 720. I need a Monitor Driver Upgrade/
Download to allow the PC to correctly match the 1024 X 720.

Can you help

Need not a monitor driver update but a video card driver update. Note
that 1024 x 720 is not a "common" computer screen size. The otherwise
alternative might be to use a more compatible setting that has been hard-
wired or programmed for the HDTV or it underscan 1024 x 768.

Please post the make and model of BOTH the Video Card and the Monitor.
