monitor display

my display on the monitor fell on its side and i cant seem to make it stand
back up.
 
a couple of
telephone books
might help.

maybe scotch taping
it to the wall too.

Right click the desktop.
Click Properties > Settings tab > Advanced tab > Video Adapter/Chip tab.
Have a look at the various tabs for "Rotation" or similar.

thanks brian.after trying this a few times it finally worked .i couldnt find the video tab at first but i did in the end .thanks a lot laurel

It's a feature of your video card, to support using a monitor that works in
portrait orientation. Try Ctrl-Alt-Up Arrow (or sometimes Ctrl-Shift-R).

It probably got that way because you hit that key combination by accident,
without realizing it.
