Monitor-desktop shows in threes

My Monitor starts up fine, loads XP, but when desktop comes up it is showing
in threes. When I start in safe mode everything looks normal (1 screen of
desktop)

HELP!

Your screen resolution/monitor display is not correctly set. In 'Safe Mode:,
in Device Manager, uninstall the "display" setting and "display adapters".
Then reboot and XP "should correct itself.
