Yesterday after turning my monitor on, I noticed a warning
in the lower right of the screen saying something about
the USB hub in my monitor (Sony HMD A400) having had a
power surge, even though it was behind a protector.
Well, about 20 seconds later the monitor flickered in
power. Every 30 seconds it would flicker untill I
unplugged the USB keyboard from it and the USB cord
required for the hub to work. It still flickered, but far
less in-between... Now, it hasnt flickered in 12 hours to
my knowledge. New problem... The center of the screen has
gone blury verticaly. Not only that but now, when I load
IE, Windows Explorer and a couple other programs the
screen just shuts off and the power light starts to blink
in a yellow color, it does this not only upon starting the
program, but leaving it running for 10 seconds after
turning the monitor back on. The monitor doesnt
automaticlhy restart like in the afformentioned flickers.
Why I am posting here is, could this be a compatability
issue, and why, after a year of use does it do it now,
after no settings drivers or anything has been changed?
New virus I havent heard of yet? Cant imagine one
designed to do just this, assuming its even possible...
but yea...
Thanks
