Monitor blinks on and off...

once XP has booted up, which appears to happen problem free, the monitor
occasionally blinks on and of, as if its losing the feed from the PC. The
light on the front blinks, indicating stand-by, then after a minute or so
nomal services are resumed. i believe this is not a problem with the monitor,
as i have noticed sometimes things on the desktop aren't displayed properly,
or winows freezes. any ideas??

this is a videocard driver problem or your videocard is failing . Try
reinstalling you video drivers, if that doesn't work then the videocard is
malfunctioning.
