moltimedia streaming problem

Since I upgrade MS multimedia player to Ver 9, I cannot
play MS audio, Video files on line. I have to download it,
and then it plays.
I am using high speed Internet. I have reinstalled Media
player. No change.
Any suggestion?

No error message, it just says, can not play the requested
file, insert the removable disk and try again.
