Modifying pivot table from other page

Is there any way to modify pivot table or pivot graph properdies from macro?
or from another page?

Let me explain the situation:

In both my pivot graph and pivot tables I show an item in the [Page Field]
area, the area on the top.
This one works as a filter for the data being shown.

I want to have that same drop down externally from the pivot table and have
it modify the data, OR as these are fized options, create buttons linked to
a marcro that would make the same result.
