If the MDA file has been compiled into an MDE and then simply had
the extension changed to MDA (which I do for my add-ins), then the
short answer is it cannot be changed. You would have to modify the
master MDB file and then set it up again to be an MDA file.
Try opening the MDA file by itself and then attempt to add a new code-
bearing object like a form, report, or module or edit an existing one.
If you are unable to, then the file cannot be changed.
