Security file MDA

Roxana

I have an Access 2003 application, with security file MDA saved on a the LAN.
I run the application in Access 2007 , using a shortcut that points to the
application and the MDA file. (This was the only way we got the Access2003
application work in 2007)
I see the MDA file being changed from time to time. (the date in 'Date
Modified')
Can anyone tell me when is the MDA file modified? Is someone trying to add
new users?
We also got the database corrupted...can there be a connection between the
MDA being modified and the corruption?

Thank you
Roxana

Whoa, that's a blast from the past. MDA files were used in Access 2.0, fifteen
years ago! Later versions use .mdw files (up to 2007, which allows them only
in the older .mdb format, not for .accdb databases).

I believe the Access 2000 Security Whitepaper has instructions for converting
a .mda file to .mdw; doing so may help:
