modify Table of Contents

I am trying to maintain a website that I did not create. The Table of
contents apparently reads a file called _cont0.htm that is not visible on
the website. How do I find and edit this file?
 
You don't.
You have your host re-index the site providing that the server has FrontPage
extensions installed.
