right now. It was the content of his posts that were objected to - they
violated Microsofts Rules.

You are wrong, his posts won't show up on Microsoft's Usenet forum, they
won't show on the web based interface under his old identity. If he
starts the same crap under a new identity I'm sure that it will be dealt
with the same.

Since nick names are a persons Identity in Usenet, as the posting host
can change, the interface can change, but people if they follow, expect
the same Nick to be the same person each time - so, while he's posting
under another identity his old one is gone to the world.

You don't need a moderator to do this. Servers can stamp its own
date/time on messages. It should be easy but since this is Microsoft's
NG, It requires 10 MVPs to do nothing but to complain about everything!

charging for reading the solutions here if they want to speed up making
even more money.

There was a time when you could download anything for free from MS
website such as patches, IE, Windows players etc. In fact the website
always advised that you need these new downloads even if you were not
interested,

Now things have changed. You need to autheticate your system before you
can download most things except security patches. They give you free
security patches because they know you can harm microsoft image by using
unpatched system. However, you can't have media player 10!! Times have
really changed!!
