moderated folders in outlook

Hi

I have set up a number of moderated public folders, where there is a common
moderator amongst the folders.

When they receive their email containing the request (calendar room bookings
in this case), there is nothing in the email to suggest which folder they
are making the booking in.

Is there a way of tagging this onto the email that gets sent so the
moderator knows which folder to move it to?

cheers

Why aren't you using the Resource scheduling option rather than a moderated
folder? Resource scheduling works automatically and needs no human input if
set up correctly.

Hi Milly

I am doing moderated folders as everyone has permission to request a booking
of an item, but the moderator needs to approve it. They may not wish to let
someone user a room/piece of equipment for whatever reason, even if the
calendar says that is is free at that time. As I understand it, resource
scheduling will let them have it as long as (a) it is free and (b) they have
permission to make the booking - which won;t work with the control freaks
asking me to set this up!!

Ah, control freaks. If they would let the resource mailbox behave as it is
programmed to do, they would have a lot fewer headaches, but not as much to
b*tch about.

Using the resource mailbox can allow you to restrict who can book it, how
long it is booked for (recurring meetings and such) and is automated. I
guess the control freaks would not like that - makes their job a lot less
interesting.

Hi Milly

So my dilemma as it stands now is... can the room name be included somehow
in the request to make a booking in a moderated folder?

The Control Freaks want people to be able to TRY and book things, but have
the ultimate power of approving or deelting their request - regardless of
the room status
