T Telos Mar 14, 2004 #2 Likely to be either.... 1) Bad wiring in the house. 2) Too many extention cables for the phone line. 3) ISP is slow The modem is capable of 56,000bps, which i doubt you'll EVER get. Fastest i got on old my dial-up account was 53,000bps, which is goddamn lucky..... If you want faster internet, sign-up for broadband, or you'll just have to get use to slower speeds.
