Modem Security

I want to restrict the usage of modem & CD-ROM from
ordinary windows 2000 users. How to apply security on
devices such as modem, cd-rom?

You can use Group Policy (Start > Run... > gpedit.msc) for restrict CD, Floppy.
(Local Computer Policy > Computer Configurations > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policy > Security Options > Restrict
CD_ROM access to locally... > Enable)

for modem, how do you want restrict modem?
disable all function?
or you want receive signal from outside?
oe something eles?
