Modem Redials

I have WinXP with SP1 installed. Everytime I disconnect
from my ISP (56k dial up account) it tries to reconnect
after about 2-3 seconds. This has only started to occur
over the past few weeks, nothing has changed in my
configuration, hardware or software. I have an up to
date Anti-Virus program so I've ruled out a virus.

Any ideas, this is a very annoying problem.

Control Panel\Performance & Maintenance\Administrative Tools\Services.
Scroll down to Remote Access Auto Connection Manager. Right Click-Properties
& select startup type to disabled. Worked for me

Check for spy/malware, run Ad-aware6 and /or spybot 2.1
