Modem Problem

After installing Service Pack 2 for XP, my modem connects
at half speed. Apparently SP2 decided to installed a
different modem driver. After uninstalling new driver
and reinstalling old driver everything is fine, until, I
reboot machine. XP reinstalls new driver and it all
begins again. Any solutions?
 
Try completelty removing the modem from Device Manager
(Start-Run-devmgmt.msc), reboot, then instead of allowing Windows to
automatically install it, point to the correct drivers. See if that
fixes the problem ;)
