Modem keeps disconnecting

Modem installed ok on Vista Beta 2. When setting up dial-up connection,
modem works fine. When I disconnect, then later, connect again, the modem
will connect for about 10 seconds, then disconnects. Vista indicates the
modem is still connected, but it isn't. In order to get the modem to dial
again, system must be rebooted. Then the same thing happens, connects for 10
seconds, then disconnects. I've tried two different modems, with the same
result. Does anyone have any suggestions I might try?

If you are running the Beta 2, why don't you update to RC1 Build 5600. My
modem ran fine in that (it broke again in 5728).
