Modem for Handset Manager V7 Motorola V525

having installed the modem and the software I then
connected the usb cable. unfortunately it cannot connect
my pc to the mobile phone. I have spoken at length to
the suppliers who blamed the cable.. I have replaced the
cable and still cannot get it to work. The motorola
Modem has been assigned Com Port 11. THIS IS SHOWING
DISABLED on trying to enable it and apply it always
reverts to disabled. I am thinking this is the reason
why the phone and pc do not make contact. If i am
correct how do I get the modem/com port enabled and keep
it that way. any ideas would be gratefully accepted as I
have been trying for over a month.

I just went through a similar dilemma with a Motorola i90c, and Motorola's
iDen software. I found if I hooked up the phone, launched the software,
then powered the phone down, and back on again, it would connect. Hope this
helps!
