modem connection problem

while creating a dial up connection I can not select the
modem device for the connection, where, the modem driver
is installed and functioning properly.
Can anyone help please.

If you only have one modem on a system, Windows automatically selects the
modem when creating a dialup connection.

If you have more than one modem, the New Connection Wizard should have a
page that allows you to select the modem.
