Mobility Center in 5600

I'm trying to sync my HP iPAQ rx1955 to Outlook in Vista build 5600 (RC1) and
it's not doing anything. I looked at mobility center and it just says that it
is waiting for the device to connect even though it is already connected. Any
suggestions on how to get this to work or what I am doing wrong? Do I need a
third party app?

I'm running Windows Firewall and have it set to adjust automatically to my
networks.

Keith,

What are you running for a firewall?

Ihave downloaded and installed it on both my desktop and laptop. My iPAQ will
be plugged in via USB port, the computer will make the noise that it knows
something was just connected, but the Windows Mobile Device Center just says
"Device not connected." I've made sure that it allows USB connections. I went
into Windows Firewall to allow the program access but I'm not sure where to
find the executable for Mobile Device Center.

If you haven't downloaded and installed the Beta3 Windows Mobile Device

you need to.

You may need to remove all existing associations from your Windows Mobile
handheld device to get it to connect. Your handheld must also be running
Windows Mobile 5.0 in order to work properly with Vista, if it is running an
earlier version of Windows Mobile you can only use it to sync files, music
and such.

I have Mobile Version 5.1.1702 installed. Only apps I have on my iPAQ are the
ones that came with it, AvantGo, and Mahjong Tiles.

The apps won't matter, but you may need to remove existing associations with
other PCs before you can sync with Vista. Check your handheld device's help
or support web site for details on this.
