mobile application & MS SQL

Hi,
i'm trying to develop an appliaction which will be used on pocket PC...
i need to create a connection Pocket PC - MSSQL which is located on a
specified ip/domain in the internet.

i've got a problem with using.... there is no:
using System.Data.SqlClient;

so there aren't any components like sqlconnection etc.

but there are in win application but not in pocketPC.... :/

maybe i need to download some kind of an extension ??

Please HELP!

Hi Grisha,

1. Install SQL Server 2000
2. Install Service Pack 3a (sql2ksp3.exe)
3. Install Sql Server CE Server Tools (sqlce20sql2ksp3a.exe) Notice,
sqlce20sql2ksp3a.exe is a special download for SP3a users.

Sql Server CE Server Tools have to be installed on the Machine running IIS.

This enables you to use RDA or Replication with SQL Server and SQL CE
from your mobile app.

To use the System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll you need to have the
CompactFramework SDK installed on your development machine.

You have then add a refernce to
System.Data.SqlServerCe
and
System.Data.Common
to your VS Pocket PC Project.
(Right click on References locate both -> double click -> OK)

Then you can use e.g. SqlServerCe.SqlCeCommand as you would do in the
SqlClient Namespace.
