My Network Places doesn't show up the Directory node like Windows 2000 does.
There's no way to navigate the AD domain and hierarchy. I've already
adjusted the GPO to explicitly not "hide Active Directory" but it still only
shows

Microsoft Terminal Services
Microsoft Windows Network
Web Client Network

So what must be done to have it like Windows 2000? Windows 2003 has the same
problem.

After some time looking at it, I'm beginning to believe the Windows design
team wants us to use the "Search Active Directory" task button instead.
