What does "MMIO open for write failed" mean ?

It happens when i open software called "AirNav ACARS decoder", which
basically takes input from a radio scanner through the soundcard and decodes
it.

It did work a couple of weeks ago, i re-installed it and i keep getting the
above message !

I have googled for an answer, but no luck !. Anyone any ideas what i might
try in order to sort this ??

Cheers

IO is input/output -mechanism in place for incoming data to be translated
to some sort of output. MM... multimedia? "open for write failed"...
probably means the decoder is having trouble opening a destination file to
place its translations. It sounds like you've already gotten that far in
your analysis though.

Error messages should tell users what's wrong but if the programmer did not
provide error messages for a scenario, the program may display a related or
a random error message. Because of this, the best place to go for help with
this would be the vendor's tech support channel for the airnav acars
decoder.
