Mltiple Sites in one Domain

Apologies to all if this has been covered

If some one would be so kind as to provide some advice I would be extremely grateful

I work for a company that is running AD 2003 at a single office - Office A. I have the privelege of setting up a second office in another state from scratch - Office B. The aim is to have the two sites connected with individual DC's at each location replicating over a WAN link. I believe a single domain with two sites is the most efficient option allowing me to administer both centrally.

My question is: with the new office - Office B what is the best way to install the DC connecting it to the existing domain and configuring the sites and services to allow the two offices to disco

I'm a little confused as to the sequence of steps required because the WAN link will not be set up in time. I have to travel before to allow the office to be operational.

How should I build this DC to allow this to happen
Should it be a domain in a new forest, a child domain in an existing domain tree or a domain tree in an existing forest considering it will have no connection to the Office A

Thank you in advance

Chris,
This is what I would do.
First, if there is a WAN link and is up 99% of the time
you only need the DC at the far end to authenticate
users. Don't install a second DC unless you really need
to.
Setup a resource server to have the users keep their work
locally at the site and setup the backup and restore
libraries per site. This way there is a recoverability to
the work at the local office without having to call the
central site for backup.
Once all users and servers are authenticating correctly
and you start seeing degradation on logins then you can
turn the resource server to a DC to help in the
authentication of the site user accounts.
