Mixed network XP/98 browsing problem

Does anybody know how to resolve slow browsing between XP
machines?
There are small network, two Win XP machines and one
Win 98. When browse shared files from Win98 machine
on XP machine, this work normal. But when try browsing
files from My Network Places, from one XP to another XP
machines, or from XP machine on 98 machine -it works very
slow. Plus some problems with printing. Before, when we
use Win98 on all machines, there were no any problems, all
work normally.
As soon as we set XP on two PCs, the mentioned problem
have appeared. Al machines connected to a hub, which is
connected to a router, IP addresses are dynamic. HUB
support speed max 10Mbps Half-Duplex.

It's looks as almost unsoluble Microsoft problem.

You wouldn't happened to have Kaspersky antivirus installed? If so, it has
been known to have problems and you may experience some slowdown with your
network. You may also find this useful.
