Missing "Windows Update" in the Start Menu

My "Windows Update" icon/task is missing from the the Start Menu list. Any
ideas how I can bring it back?

Right click Desktop | New | Shortcut |
Paste this in the box:

%SystemRoot%\system32\wupdmgr.exe

Next | Name it: Windows Update | Next | Finish |
Right click the shortcut | Properties | Shortcut tab |
Paste this in the Start in box:

%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

Apply | OK

Start | Explore All Users |
Copy and paste or drag the shortcut into the right hand pane

Shortcut to
%SystemRoot%\system32\wupdmgr.exe
set to Start In
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

Note that it also appears as an item in Internet Explorer's Tools menu;
I have taken to getting at it that way
