The Volume Control icon is missing from my system tray - and a few of my
other startup programs aren't showing their icons in the system tray
either - even though the programs are running (per the Task Manager). Any
way to fix this? Thanks.........

Click start, control panel, double click sound and audio devices. See if the
"place volume icon in task bar" is enabled. If not check it. If it is checked
then you have something strange going on. It couldnt be that your bar is
pulled all the way to one side? Do you have a little arrow in a circle on
your task bar? If so try clicking it.

There isn't necessarily anything to fix. Not all programs that
start automatically manifest themselves by an icon in the tray.
Which ones are you concerned about?

It was checked - so I unchecked it - hit Apply - rechecked it - hit Apply -
and it now shows up.

Musicmatch has an icon that shows in the system tray - but it disappeared.
The task manager showed it as running (but, of course, no icon).

Great! Glad to you you fixed it.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Musicmatch and can't help with it.
