missing text

When I got home from work on Friday and went to use my
computer, all my menu text and the text under the desktop
icons were gone. The text within Outlook and Windows
Explorer was only showing one or two characters in each
field. I figured I had picked up a virus but Norton
didn't find a virus. Should I reload Windows XP?
