missing text on buttons and titles in remote site

My site is www.johndavis.net where I show vacation photos. I just published
my updates, and on several of the pages, the buttons are now missing the
text, although when you move the mouse over them it shows what they are. The
text shows up ok in my local site. Ditto for the title on two of the pages.
Is there a solution to this?

Open the remote site, and run Tools->Recalculate Hyperlinks.
If this fails, quote any error messages here.

Those buttons are graphics. Look at them in a graphics editor and reapply
the text there.
