missing text in forward when using word editor

I get about 5 emails a week where this happens. I open the email I recieve
from someone else. I go to forward it and then on my forwarded email, most
of the original text is gone. The signature of the persons original email is
there, but the main part of the message isnt there. The person I forward to
doesnt get it either. Its like that part of the email is stripped off when
forwarding and replying. I took off word as my default editor and it
stopped. I can then forward and the original text is exact. I put word back
on it happens, but only to certain emails. Any ideas?
