Missing System Tray Icons

Following a windows update, it appears, some of my System
Tray icons are not appearing every time. I have checked
that the programs are running in Task Manager and
rechecked the Task Bar properties to ensure that they are
not hidden. But they are simply not there and whch ones
changes when i restart the computer. As one is my virus
checker this is a nuisance, to say the least. Any ideas??
